Cooking Contest! Any suggestions??!

Question: I will be entering a cooking contest, where sugar MUST be added, as I am making something for my hometown's Sweet Taste of Sugar Cooking Contest. I really need a sweet, unique and delicious recipe to knock the judges off their feet! Dessert recipes absolutely welcome! Any suggestions? I greatly appreciate your creative juices!

ok are you ready for this? I had this at a dessert place and tried to recreate it and it came out pretty good.....and very rich!
use a pie plate (next time I am going to try in a springform pan)

An Oreo crust (homemade is better)
Then a thick layer of homemade caramel
on top of caramel, a homemade chocolate mousse
then chocolate ganache on top of mousse

sooooo yummy!!! Good luck!

Go to www.allrecipes.com and type in what ingredients you would like to use and see what comes up. Good luck!

how about fudge, it's always good and has lots of sugar.

Old Fashioned Tea Cakes

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon almond flavoring
2 1/4 cups self rising flour

Preheat Oven 350
Cream shortening and sugar together by hand (mixer adds too much air) Add eggs and mix well. Add flavorings and mix. Add flour and mix until blended. Spoon onto cookie sheet and cook 8-10 minutes. Make sure that the cracks still look wet when you take them out. Do not overcook.

your gonna lose! but good luck, u

I think you should go to this website http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/...

You should make Sugary Butter Cookies. I think they're so delicious and of course the recipe calls for sugar!

The Ingredients are:
3 ?cup Flour
1 ?cup Sugar
1 tsp Baking soda
? tsp Salt
2 x Eggs
1 ? tsp Vanilla
?lb Butter, (use butter not margarine)

Mix Flour, soda, & salt & set aside. Cream butter, sugar & vanilla, then add eggs and mix all together. Slowly add flour mixture, small amounts at a time. Mix until to thick then knead together* Roll on floured/powdered sugar surface and cut out with cookie cutters 0r use top of a glass. Bake @ 350 6-10 minutes.
NOTES : A heavy duty mixer (at least 200 watt) will be able to mix this whole recipe.

Make a home-made sweet biscuit or short cake, homemade whipped cream with sugar, and sliced strawberies that have been sprinkled with sugar to make thier own syrup.

The biscuits I would do just a regular old bicuit recipe with at least 2 or 3 times the sugar, ohh or how about shortbread. The homemade whipped cream will stand on it's own for a while it it's done right but I can't remember what you put in it to make it stay firm-ish other than pwdered sugar. And the strawberries are pretty simple. Then you have 3 items that all have sugar in them.
