Sausage Stuffing?!

Question: I just got a real craving for a chicken stuffing sandwich. I've got the chicken, the bread and its all ready to go. Now I need to make some stuffing.

I've mixed 3 medium sized Tesco Finest sausages with a packet of Paxo. How long do you reacon it will take to cook? And what temperature? Stupid Paxo packet doesnt say anything for Stuffing with sausage meat.

I never heard of mixing sausage meat with Paxo stuffing... But, hey! It is a free country and I am sure it will taste fabulous!

As with any meat, you cook/roast it by multiplying the total weight by so many minutes per pound... Because the bird weighs more with stuffing, it takes that much longer to cook.

I love stuffing and tend to overdo it... So as a rule of thumb, I add half as much time again... A small chicken which would take an hour to roast unstuffed, gets one and a half hours with stuffing and may even need longer if it is chocca-block packed full. Now we are trying to save energy, I cook all stuffing "on the side", not in the bird or in a joint. That saves time and energy!
