I need a good recipe for shrimp scampi that can be cooked in a frying pan?!
Answers: The shrimp is already cooked so I just want a good way to flavor it up scampi style. The simpler the better because it is going on top of fettucine alfredo. I don't want to mix them into the sauce because they are not the really small ones. Thanks.
minced garlic, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste, parsley flakes for color....put in the pan and cook in butter...when this is done...add the shrimp to heat through...
*** take a couple TBS of your Alfredo sauce to thicken this if you want.
* 1 1/2 pounds large shrimp (about 16 to 24)
* 1/3 cup clarified butter
* 4 tablespoons minced garlic
* 6 green onions, thinly sliced
* 1/4 cup dry white wine
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh if possible
* 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
* salt and pepper, to taste
PREPARATION:
Rinse shrimp and set aside. Heat butter in large skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic 1 or 2 minutes or until softened but not browned. Add shrimp, green onions, wine and lemon juice; cook until shrimp are pink and firm, about 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Do not overcook. Add chopped parsley and salt and pepper before serving. Garnish with lemon slices and parsley sprigs if desired.
1/4 cup olive oil
1 lb Large shrimp
4 large garlic cloves, left unpeeled and forced through a garlic press
1/2 teaspoon dried hot red-pepper flakes
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
5 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 lb capellini (angel-hair pasta)
1/2 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
Bring a 6- to 8-quart pot of salted water to a boil.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a 12-inch heavy skillet over moderately high heat until hot but not smoking, Add garlic to oil remaining in skillet along with red pepper flakes, wine, salt, and pepper and cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, 1 minute. Add butter to skillet, stirring until melted, and stir in shrimp. Remove skillet from heat.
Cook pasta in boiling water until just tender, about 3 minutes. Reserve 1 cup pasta-cooking water, then drain pasta in a colander. Toss pasta well with shrimp mixture and parsley in large bowl, adding some of reserved cooking water if necessary to keep moist.

squirt some olive oil in bottom of pan. saute some scallions and garlic. Add shrimp. splash lemon juice and white wine over. Grind some fresh pepper on and saute a minute on each side. (this is better with raw shrimp, same instructions but saute each side until pink)
