Answers: I think my bag has dried up for as long as I've had them I don't want to throw them away.

soak them in water overnite

add a few drops of water and micowave covered.

You might wanna try dumping the bag into a strainer and running water through it for a minute then setting it to dry. Some water should be absorbed.

It would depend on how you are going to use the coconut.Do not add anything to it until you are ready to use it.If the recipe has a liquid in it ,soak the coconut in that(if possible according to directions) If you are making coconut filling for a cake you can use 1 cup each milk, coconut, sugar and cook on the stove top till thick. It want matter if the coconut is dry using it this way. You could also use it by toasting it and using it in cookies or puddings and such. There are a lot of possibilities don't throw it out.I store my coconut in the freezer it seems to stay fresher longer that way.
