I have an onion and a cup of rice ,any ideas for dinner?!

Rice is REAL good for you. Some countries only eat rice for lunch or supper. Follow the direction on how to cook it.

My hubby likes to put a little sugar and butter on his rice and eat it like a dessert.
I like to put soy sauce on mine.

If all you have is an onion and rice I feel sorry for you dude you need food stamps to get some food but if you have other things boil the rice mince the onion and stir fry or fry the rice and onion in a pan and make a makeshift rice pilaf.

saute the onions in a little butter and mix it in with the rice then saute for a couple minutes longer
if you have some eggs scramble those with the onions
if you have frozen peas/carrots/corn cook those with the onion as well

Both rice and onions are excellent for your health. If you have a little butter and salt, add them to the water when you boil it, for 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water. You can either dice up the onion and add it to the water while it boils, or leave it raw and mix it with the rice when it's finished cooking. Enjoy!!
Cook the rice as directed. Slice the onion and caramelize it.
( fry it with a little sugar until it turns golden and caramelized) Mix the rice and onions with a little butter and spices. Delicious if you have a little cheese to mix in.

well u can make fried rice...get some rice(already cooked), and some ham or chicken wich u wood preferr... and some soy sause...onions.....peas and carrots if u like dem I dont.....then get some eggs....... and of course ground black peper and salt ..
so here wat cha do:
chop the onion and carrots in dices(small dices)
cut up the ham or chicken(the kind dats already cooked like the kinds for sandwaitches) in dices(small also)
so u start off with the skillet heated and some olive oil just a little bit like 1 teaspoon
put like 2 eggs in dair and u scramble dem
then wen the eggs are done put the rice in
then the carrots and peaas
then the meat(ham or chicken)
then the onions
then some soy sause(as much as u want )(just a bit for the rice 2 get the flava)
then like out some ground black pepper and salt( a pinch sprinkle it around)
then like just take a feww mins. 2 like mix it around in the heated skillet
then well u can smeell all of the vegies and oniond and soy sause mixed 2 gether
den its done but make sir iits mixed well and not burnts
