Can anyone tell me what McDonalds use on their potato wedges?!

Question: I think it is barbaque flavour, but not sure what the ingrediants are.

I am wanting to create the same taste, as I have a burning desire for them.

Can anyone help me, and be serious.

Yeah, McD's does serve potato wedges, just not in all parts of the world. I had them in France, and I believe they use spices similar to cajun-style seasoning. You can buy jars of "cajun seasoning" in the spice sections of US grocery stores.

Ummm Mickey Ds doesn't serve potato wedges. You must have the fast food places mixed up. Maybe you mean Popeye's?

Ingredients
The Hash Browns
4 Ore-Ida?Golden Patties?frozen potatoes*
4-6 cups vegetable oil (McDonald's uses soybean oil)*(the McDonald's "factory" has special equipment for machine tooling these hash brown patties. They are nearly impossible to duplicate at home)

Special Tools10 inch non-stick skilletrubber spatula (like Rubbermaid?)
Deep fryer

Cooking McDonald's Hash Browns
1. Pre-heat your deep fryer to 350?375?range.
2. Place 4 still frozen Ore-Ida?hash brown patties in the fry basket.
3. Lower the basket into the hot oil, and cook 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
4. Remove the hash brown patties, and place on a paper towel lined plate. Add a dash of salt immediately toeach side, and allow to cool a few minutes before serving.

If you live in England, buy Maccain wedges from the freezer section. Get the lightly spiced ones in the brown coloured bag. They taste exactly like the Mcdonalds ones. Its not BBQ its lightly spiced but they go well with BBQ sauce.

I have not had them. But,I would try a dry BBQ rub for the seasoning.I think it would taste good, even if not the same as Mickey D's...

No, sorry, - I hate the place AND their Cr@p food.!

They use no ingredients , They don't make them. USA.
