easy but delicious chicken & dumplins

1 5 lb whole chicken boiled , deboned and shredded
6 cans biscuits
1 family size can cream of chicken soup
1 family size can cream of mushroom soup
1 large container chicken broth
salt
pepper
garlic powder
ground red pepper (optional)

pour the soups and broth in a large pot, stir in spices.
add cooked chicken and bring to a boil.
tear biscuits in bite sized pieces and stir into pot.
once all biscuits are added simmer, stirring frequently, about 20-30 minutes or until firm.

*i just wanted to add that this meal is only around $10 and will feed an army!

Friday night is pizza night :)

Pan grill, broil, or grill these tasty marinated chicken breasts.
INGREDIENTS:
4 boneless chicken breast halves, without skin
.
Marinade
3 tablespoons fresh chopped basil, or 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves
juice of 2 lemons, or about 1/3 cup
1 tablespoon olive oil or canola oil
4 cloves garlic, chopped
.
fresh basil or fresh parsley for garnish
PREPARATION:
Put chicken breasts between sheets of plastic wrap; gently pound to even thickness for even and quick cooking.
Combine marinade ingredients in a plastic food storage bag; add chicken and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.

tomorrow is aussie day so we are having a BBQ!!!

Taco Pie

1 lb. ground beef

1 medium onion chopped

1 package taco seasoning

1 jar salsa

16 oz. canned crescent rolls

16 oz. grated cheddar cheese

Corn chips

16 oz. sour cream

Heat oven to 350°F. Brown ground beef and onions. Stir in taco mix and salsa. Mix well. Press crescent rolls in bottom and up sides of a 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle broken chips on top. Spread ground mixture on top. Bake for 15 minutes. Take out of oven and spread with a layer of sour cream and top with the cheese. Bake for 15 more minutes.
