Grating food? I need to grate garlic onions & carrots in a food processor, but have blender, does it matter?!

well honey, get out the elbow grease. You could try pulseing in the blender, I'm just worried you will end up with a product to fine and watery

It really depends on what you are using it for. There is an obvious difference between grating and blending but if you only need it for flavor and the texture doesn't matter then it should be fine.

Yeah grating by hands does take time, sadly no you cannot grate them in a blender... I've tried :[ Doesn't work makes them into mash. If you wanna grate them do it by-hand ahead of time or buy a food processor

It will only work if you have the grate option on your blender. Otherwise, it will turn to mush
