Does anybody else hate standing in one spot cutting a ton of vegetables?!

Question: boy it really messes with my back and legs--I made a big pot of Chicken soup---the good kind with parsley, celery, onion, carrots, mushrooms---then I also made a big pot of speghetti sauce. But by the time it will all be done I will be exhausted--lol (my son is coming home this weekend and he likes his vittles)

Cutting anything for a long period of time can be hard on your lower back, this would explain the exhausted feeling. Try alternating raising 1 foot at a time, like placing 1 foot on a stepping stool every 15-20 minutes or so. This should ease a bit of pressure on your lower back....and make sure your knife is sharpened properly before starting. The sharper the knife, the less the fatigue.

I love to cut vegtables. You can take any emotion out on them and they don't ask questions. Bearing in mind, you do get a good result from cooking them and then eating them xx

You can get foam rubber type pads to stand on that will ease the strain on your back and legs. I also saw something recently in a catalog, a tall type of stool that you can use in the kitchen, I think it even had wheels. :)

Yes, it really makes the back & legs hurt. Hope you feel better soon.
