Have you ever poured pepper from the wrong end and improved what you cooked?!

Question: Much to the dismay of my new friend Christopher, I went with a recipe from Allrecipes.com tonight for chicken fettucine alfredo. I grabbed the pepper at the table and opened the wrong end, pouring pepper ALL over my dinner. I swear, it was better than everyone else's....well, what I could eat of it. I should have listened to him, and to the reviews..."too gritty," "too blah,"...

Has anyone else ever ruined a dinner, only to find it was better?

:-)

  • Did that with my dad's famous recipe for Scalloped Potatoes LOL - modified it with both the pepper and extra butter woohoo

Usually if it doesn't have too much pepper, I'm setting it on fire. Ask my neighbors & the fire department hahaha

My family still wonders whether I've lost my mind or if I order take-out more than the average person. I am actually a good cook - just like a lot of spices & flavor in my foods :)

I'm a big fan of crushed black pepper. I add it to almost all my recipes.
