If the egg size is not stated then, by convention, when a recipe calls for an egg, the recipe is referring to a large egg. One large egg has approximately 2 tablespoons egg white and 1 tablespoon egg yolk. Therefore in your example you will need 8 tablespoons of egg white; 8 tablespoons = 1/2 cup.

depending on the size of the egg, around 2

Just crack 4 eggs, remove the yellow and then now you have 4 egg whites.

ADD: Ok... let me check and get back with you... ^_^

If the recipe stated 4 egg white then you want all the white parts from 4 eggs lol silly billy

Go by ounces. Figure one large egg equals two ounces. Roughly half of that is the yolk, the other half the egg white. For liquid measure "a pint is a pound, all around". So, 4 egg whites is 4 ounces or a half cup.

you say TSP ?? but say only 4 egg whites
SO it follows it is
"the seperated whites of 4 eggs"
in general,, the use of eggs (#) is iffy
3-4 extra large _ _ 4 large_ _ 5- 6 small
