Question: does anyone have a recipe for alfredo?

Answers: does anyone have a recipe for alfredo?

All the recipes above sound good. I'll eat at their house anytime.

I just use the stuff in a jar next to the spaghetti sauce in the grocery store.
It's white-ish.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fettuccine_...

they make canned/jarred sauce (like spaghetti sauce but it's alfredo sauce) I just say grill some chicken, boil some fettucine noodles, throw in the sauce and put the chicken on top and its done!!! Good luck

Ingredients

1/4 c Butter
2 c Heavy Cream
pn Nutmeg
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Pepper
3/4 c Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 lb Cooked Fettuccine

Instructions

1. Combine butter, cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper in skillet. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 4 minutes. Toss with cheese and cooked pasta.

ALFREDO SAUCE

1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 cup whipping cream
salt and white pepper, to taste
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

Melt butter in a large skillet.

When butter foams, add cream.

Simmer over medium heat about 2 minutes until slightly thickened.

Season with salt and white pepper.

I have the Olive Garden Alfredo recipe, I hate the stuff in the jar it's just gross to me, and I don't like anyone else's alfredo but Olive Garden's. Here is the recipe, it tastes just like it!

1 stick butter
2 minced garlic cloves (I just use minced garlic from the store)
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup grated parm. cheese

Melt your butter in a saucepan. Add garlic, cream, and pepper and cook to a simmer. Add parm. cheese and simmer for about 8 minutes or until however thick you like it.

Pepperidge farm also has some great breadsticks, and they are so good to dunk in! Hope you like it!

I'm not a huge fan of the jarred, but I do use the powdered mix stuff. It's in a green envelope/package and I believe the brand in Knorr.

1c. broth---chicken or claim juice if with sea food
1 pound cream cheese
2 TB garlic powder
heat on low heat and stir till smooth while anding
1 cup parmesan cheese to thicken
