How do you spice things up?!

Question: In the kitchen that is. lol
I like to put caraway seeds on a lot of my main dishes
or put Louisiana hot sauce on eggs. Cilantro goes into my salads. I am limiting my salt intake and looking for some good combinations to go with various foods.

A couple I love are freshly grated nutmeg in peas, and Italian seasonings, such as basil, marjoram, oregano and sage in green beans, with a touch of garlic.

Rosemary on chicken is nummy, too!

Cayenne Pepper goes on lots of my foods. It adds great spice and has good flavor. I even use it on frozen dinners. Also, if I want a bit of a kick on a sandwich, I use some horse radish.

old bay or if you really want it spicy curry

Some combo spices are really good, such as Lemon Pepper (my fav.), Parmesan Herb & Italian Seasoning. Read the ingred. to be sure they do not contain salt.

I add red pepper flakes to almost everything I cook. just a pinch will do and it adds so much more flavor.

McCormicks Season All.

Sweet Paprika goes with cheese toasted like it was meant to be!

Garlic powder is my savior!! I am indeed a salt FREAK! (Can't get enough of the yummy stuff!) But, I have to limit it too because of blood pressure.
I've tried "Spike" blends and they are really good. Also chipotle pepper, onion powder and hot sauce. (Watch the sodium in the hot sauce too!)

Old Bay seasoning or Cajun seasoning.Always with Garlic and Onions.

cilantro and hot sauce are so good on almost anything. i also like to use old bay seasoning and garlic powder..i'm cutting back on my salt intake but i really really love the taste of salt..maybe i'll make a double batch of french fries and shrimp and salt the crap out of them..there'll be plenty if you want some too. it will be so bad for me but oh so good

I use a lot of basil or celery seed.
For salad, I add in green peppers, fresh spinach, mushrooms and onions to the prebagged iceburg. Really adds a nice flavor!
