Whats the best way to make home made hot chocolate???!

Question: i use the recipe that my grandma taught me.

1/4 cup water
1 tsp. coco (you can add more if u want it to taste chocolatey)
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 cap full of Vanilla
milk.

Mix altogether in a pan until hot. With the milk add enough milk as you want. so if u want just 1 glass of hot coco. then just add enough milk for 1 glass, etc.

The one that comes on the can of Hershey's Cocoa!

I use Hershey's cocoa powder. The recipe is on the container...and it is so yummy!

Hot Chocolate Mix
1(8qt) box powered milk
1(6oz) jar coffee-mate
1(1 lb) box instant cocoa mix
1/2 cup powered sugar

Mix and store in airtight container. Use 1/3 cup of mix to 1 cup of hot water! This makes alot!

I make campers cocoa. Meaning we make up the mix, then all you have to do is add hot water. This makes up a large batch, but it is good and goes fast.
21 cups of dry milk powder
1 box ( large) quick
1 pound of powdered sugar
10 ounces of coffee creamer.
Mix this all together, store in a container. Fill the cup 1/3 of the way with mix . Add hot water to fill the cup. Add marshmallows or whipped topping if desired
To add a different flavor add flavored coffee creamer to your cup as you would a cup of coffee. If you want alcohol, add 1 shot of peppermint schnapps for a Peppermint Patty, or 1 shot of Amaretto for a chocolate covered cherry.

Well, mine isn't completely homemade, but for two people I make mexican hot chocolate.

2 envelopes dry instant cocoa mix
2 cups milk
cinnamon
vanilla

In a saucepan stir milk and mix to a boil, remove from heat, add dash of cinnamon and dash of vanilla and let sit for a few moments to cool a little bit, then pour in cups and top with whipped cream. Yummy!

For hot chocolate you
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
dash salt
1/3 cup very hot water
4 cups milk
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
Mix first three ingredients into saucepan. Stir in hot water. Cook and stir over medium heat until it begins to boil. Stir, allowing it to boil for 2 minutes. Stir in milk and heat through but do no boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
For drinking chocolate
2 sections (1/2 ounce each) unsweetened baking bar (not chocolate chips)
2TBSP very hot water
1/4 cup sugar
dash salt
1/4 cup warmed milk
1/4tsp vanilla
Place chocolate in double boiler ( I use a metal or glass bowl set on top of pan with a bit of water in it) with water.Melt over the simmering water stirring until smooth. Stir in sugar and salt blending thoroughly. Gradually blend in milk. Heat through stirring occasionally until hot. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into small cups and serve hot. This is a very rich and thick drinking chocolate, not like the cocoa drink you get from Swiss Miss or Nestles.
TIP: for a little something extra or different, replace the vanilla extract with peppermint. You can also add a teaspoon or so of ground cinnamon to the melting chocolate or the dry ingredients but I don't recommend doing that if you are using the peppermint idea cause it doesn't taste very good together.

heat up milk in a small pot, but dont let it boil(it gets the gunky white stuff at the top) while its on the pot, add chocolate kisses, and keep tasting it to make sure theres enough chocolate! keep adding chocolate until its chocolatey enough.

i only drink dunkin donuts hot chocolate

My world famous Hot Chocolate is a very coveted gift at the holidays and all winter long...

I mix a large canister of hot cocoa mix (brand doesn't matter) with a small jar of Carnation flavored powdered creamer. The creamer flavor is a matter of choice. My personal favorite is French Vanilla.

If you mix these two ingredients together, add about 6 heaping spoonfuls (or more to taste) to about 8 ounces of hot water (or milk) and stir well.

You may want to either make extra to share, or hide the secret, because everyone will want some.
