I'm looking for some appetizer type food for Super Bowl Sunday. What are your favorites?!
Bake chicken wings in half soy sauce & half water at 425 for about 40 minutes.
Heat Little Smokies in a half grape jelly/half chili sauce mixture..dee-licious!
Sausage balls are always great--mix 1# groung pork sausage with 3/4 c bisquick, and 2 cups of cheese. Shape in balls and bake at 350 about 20-30 minutes (depends how big they are).
A tray of fresh veggies with dill dip is always good, so is a big cheese & sausage platter served with crackers.
Spread soft chive/onion cream cheese on flour tortillas, cover with thin-sliced hard salami and roll up tightly. Wrap in plastic wrap, chill, then slice in 1# pieces for yummy pinwheels.
Answers: Mix half velveeta cubes and half canned chili (no beans) and heat for a great nacho dip.

Our menu so far is chili, giant nacho platter (half with taco meat, half with black beans and rice), and now grilled Mexican prawns.
Bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp in a spicey hot sauce, mini meat balls in a chili- grape jelly sauce, chunks of x-sharp cheese on a tooth pick with an olive.
Hot crab dip with veggies & crackers, buffalo style wings, nachos with chili and cheese
Hot wings, Veggie platter and dip, mini chimi chungas, chips dip, beer ,beer and more beer
Salmon+Cream cheese, salt , pepper. Bake Salmon take off skin. Mix well together and have some good cracker and you have it OK!!!
The most unhealthy things ever..
Mini hotdogs wrapped in crissons (Pigs in a blanket)
Mini meatballs and hotdogs in a jelly sauce
Spinach wheels with cream cheese and wrapped in a crissont
Nachos
Tortilla chips and home made salsa or taco dip
Chili
Chips and french onion dip
Chicken wings
Mini pizzas possibly made on either mini bagels or english muffins work great (Or you can buy frozen ones and just heat them up)
Chex mix or some other kind of mix
Potato skins
pretzels
Popcorn
Onion Rings
Mozzarela sticks
Jalapeano poppers
(: Hope that helps!
That layered bean dip is always a BIG hit and its SUPER easy!! Some others are like pigs in a blanket, and chips and salsa (a must). Depending on how many people you are having though, you might want to think about how much you really want to cook and clean up, if you dont want to do that much, then they have really yummy frozen appitizers at the grocery store too.
We like shrimp, but here are several suggestions:

Lori,
my son and hubby love the hot wings i marinate in Texas Pete for a few hours then bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes on each side then i made a ranch dip from ranch dressing in powder form and 1 8 oz. container of sour cream, allow it to set for about 1 hour before eating with the hot wings.
It's easy to make and is a pleas-er at our home.

if you want a killer appetizer, then a 'must have' is buffalo wings. no Super Bowl party is complete without it. and of course, the best ones i've tasted are from Hooter's, so you probably want to get as close to them as possible.
you can get the recipe here http://www.popularrestaurantrecipes.com
you can alter the spiciness of the wings depending on your crowd. but a little ranch sauce always did the trick to cool any burning taste buds down :)
