Porterhouse steak and Its best before date?!


Question: A Porterhouse steak which was packed on the 24th of this month and best before the 24th and kept In a cold refrigerator well wrapped. Would It still be ok on the 27th of this month? Would you cook It?

If it is still red and does not have a foul odor it is okay. If it was fresh on the 19th it is probably fine. The rule is 7 days past the best before date its still okay.

If the color is still good, and no smell then yes or I would throw away if you are not sure, it's just not worth getting sick over
