Black eyed beans and a canned ham what else do i need to make a good soup!?!

Question: stock.carrots celery ...

Answers: stock.carrots celery ...

Carrots (helps take away the saltiness of the ham), onions, maybe garlic, and I would use chicken stock, but I suppose you could use beef or vegetable broth.

Happy eating!

Salt and lots of water. When done, I add a little vinegar and sugar. Enjoy!

Onions, carrots, corn, green beans and some pork stock.

Use carrots, celery, onion, garlic, mustard powder, white pepper all to your liking, but NO salt, as ham is salty enough. I use black eyed beans more than the white beans as I think they are better for you. But all beans are good, so have fun experimenting. The ingredients named are what I use in all of my soups, including home made chicken and noodles, ham and beans, etc.
Have a good day and enjoy the soup. Perfect weather for it.

Add carrots, celery, lots of potatoes, turnip, and spinach leaves. Sounds great for a cold winter day!
