Cooking a roat in the oven?!

Question: I wasn't thinking ahead and just took out a potroast but it's still frozen. It's been in the slow cooker for 3 hours now and it's still frozen inside. If I put it in the oven at 400 degrees will it be done in 3 hours?

a pot roast has to be slow cooked, or it will be very tough. Putting it in the oven will just dry it out. You could put it in a pot on top of the stove, on medium heat, with broth. that will maintain the moisure, and cook quicker than a slow cooker. It should be done in 3 hours done that way

Whats a roat? Does it taste like chicken?

i have never cooked a roat , does it walk , swim or fly

Do you mean stoat? goat?

How hungry are you?

If its whole , then I would take it and score it on a hot pan, put it in the oven at 375 for one hour, then drop your temp to 325, for 2. Leave it uncovered. You should be fine.

I would just turn the slow cooker on High.

yep ...... extremely done

I only cook roat when I'm out of prok and chicen. Usually with a side of mashed potat

You can cook from frozen. but at 400 deg for 3 hours, I think it'll be over cooked. Check after about 1 hour 10 mins.

Should be just about thawed by now! - Put a few veggies around ( particularly garlic and onions) it and put it, in an enclosed container ( aluminium foill will do) in your oven at about 320 for 2 or 3 hours. - or you could leave it in the slow cooker for another 2 or 3 days.

obv ...a vegetarian roast....ROAT....do tescos sell them ?
