Answers: I want to start freezing leftovers instead of just throwing them out...can I freeze any food?

no. some cooked foods can be frozen as is, most have to be blanched, and some like raw potatoes, bananas, fresh fruit (watermelon, kiwi, salad greens) cannot. puddings, some creamed soups and gravies can't. or, at least, i wouldn't want to eat them after freezing

IM A REFRIGERATION ENGINEER AND THE RULE WE HAVE IS THE ONLY FOOD YOU CANT FREEZE IS BANANAS THEY TURN BLACK HOPE THAT HELPS

Oh yeah i do it all the time, see i live alone and it's hard to cook for me with out having lefts,so i put what i know ill eat in fridge and freeze the rest.

yeah you can freeze most food and even for months

Oh yes ,it really is a boon on a busy or lazy day ,you thank yourself for freezing what you don't need immediately .remember to use the right freezer container /bag & always label with contents & date, does away with guess work when you are looking for something in particular.

uh, yeah. ask help from Mr.Fridge if he is available. don't put bananas! the cute yellow bananas will be ugly black xP.
