Crackers, PB&J sandwiches.

Crusty bread and butter

Grilled ham and cheese sandwiches!

Anything...ham,fried chicken or just a nice sandwich.
Soup and Sandwich!!!

Crusty french bread still warm with butter! Or, to make it simple toasted (grilled) cheese sandwiches. And garlic toast, you know, like texas toast or something.

i love to use oyster crackers ,there is no oyster about it there just shaped like it and for kids its fun , just add 5or 6 at a time then add as you are eating that way they wont be soggy, i usually put them in a shallow bowl and every one around the table gets them as they eat ,relay nice with potato soup also to help out on plain potato soup i add diced chunks of ham and Velveeta melted cheese in the soup while it is cooking and that doctors up a potato soup they'll love it , good luck and hope you like it .if you haven't already had this..enjoy

We like cheese crunchies:

1/2 c margarine
8 oz cheese, shredded or diced
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
pinch of dried onion
1 - 1 1/4 c flour

Soften cheese and butter in the microwave.
Stir in remaining ingredients
Drop by small spoonfuls on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 F for 15 minutes or until done. Don't let the bottoms get too brown.

We have these and a green salad or Cole slaw with potato soup!!

cornbread

French baguette....

Cornbread, slathered with butter, Paula Deen's and my favorite food group. Or corn dodgers, or corn muffins, or corn cakes...made like pancakes. I do those in the summer in a skillet to avoid heating the kitchen with the oven.

mmm bacon croutons bread and butter more soup parsley

Split open rolls or a baguette, spread liberally with butter, the top with grated cheese. Pop it under the broiler for a very short time, just so the cheese melts, and enjoy! This is a great suggestion for slightly-stale bread, as the melting butter makes it very soft.

toasted cheese sandwiches...... or ham and cheese would be good too.... garlic toast too

A wonderful green salad
sliced oranges
crusty bread

Cheddar, chili cornbread scones.....excellent for dipping
