My kid put my copper bottom pot on a high burner.....with nothing in it! Will it be ruined?!

Question: No.
Metals that perform corrosion on the
surface like aluminum and copper
will not have oxide under the surface.
Just use steel wool on it and remove the oxide.

No

Look at the pot, if it's ruined then yes, it's ruined, if it isn't ruined, then it's fine.

Kind of difficult to ruin copper, staining copper is possible though.....
