Low Calorie Cookies?!
Answers: Can someone please give me a recipe for simple Cookies that are low calorie?
to make 10+ biscuits
just use:
6 tbl spoon plain flour,
1 egg and
sprinke of sugar
1 tbl spoon of butter
mix them all together to form a firm dough
roll out flat and cut into shape
put into oven, gas mark 5 for 10mins or until light brown
smoother with icing sugar, if you wish
LOW CALORIE MICROWAVE PEANUT BUTTER
COOKIES
3/4 c. diet butter
1/2 c. chunky style peanut butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
18 pkgs. Equal brand sweetener
3 eggs
1/4 c. skim milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. quick cooking oatmeal
Cream together the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar and sweetener until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time and beat well after each addition. Blend in milk and vanilla. Thoroughly stir together flour, soda and salt; add to the creamed mixture and beat well. Stir in oatmeal. Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper on microwave oven glass tray. Be sure to make cookies small. Cook a dozen at a time on full power for 45 to 60 seconds or until firm, but slightly moist. Allow to cool slightly before removing from waxed paper. Repeat with remaining dough. Makes 7 dozen, 30 calories per cookie

LOW CALORIE COCOA DELIGHTS COOKIES
1/3 c. sunflower oil butter
1/3 c. lowfat vanilla yogurt
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg white, lightly beaten
Cream butter, yogurt, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Combine flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Blend into butter mixture. Shape dough into ball and wrap in wax paper. Chill at least 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Roll out dough slightly less than 1/4 inch thick. Cut. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Brush with egg white. Bake 15 minutes. Makes 4-5 dozen. 35 calories per cookie.

LOW CALORIE COCONUT COOKIES
1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp. Sucaryl
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. orange juice
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. shredded coconut
2 c. no-sift flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Cream together butter, Sucaryl, egg, water, orange juice, peel, extract. Add in remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Form into roll and refrigerate until firm. Cut into thin slices and bake on Teflon cookie tin 10-15 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes 4 1/2 dozen cookies at 35 calories per cookie

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup margarine, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg white
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Heat oven to 375°F. Mix sugars, margarine, vanilla, and egg white in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
These cookies are great. They are very sweet though. I've only used anegg white when I've made these. Also, the dough is kind of crumbly. I ended up kind of forming them with a spoon and my hands into little balls. My experience was that they only took about 8 minutes to bake. I let them cool on the sheets for about 5 minutes before easily moving themto cooling racks. The dough makes them look like they're not going to turn out, but I was pleasantly surprised the first time I made them. You won't be able to tell that they're low calorie and low fat. ENJOY!
