Warming up Chicken?!
Answers: We bought teriyaki grilled chicken breasts from the deli counter last night to have for dinner tonight. What is the best way to heat them up? We don't want to use the microwave? Is there an alternative? We have a nice toaster oven. FYI.
Try reheating in a wok . If you don't have a wok then use a good sized frying pan. Mix together 1/10 oz sesame oil, 2 oz of soy or teriyaki sauce and 2 oz water. Poor in when chicken begins to sizzle and voila, your chicken should be warm in 10 minuets or less and has been reflavored to origial taste. Remember, very, very light on the sesame oil, its strong. Bon apetite!
Try steaming them. Get about an inch of water boiling in a saucepan, put a sieve over it, and put the chicken breasts in the sieve. Cover lightly and steam till they're warm enough. This method keeps them from drying out.
place a slightly damp ppr towel on them , heat at a med temp .
I would bake them in the oven.
Reheat with a little water in foil in the toaster oven...Cover loosely...Let some steam escape...
place in the oven for 20 minute at 365* will be hot and fresh!
I'd run them in the oven. Cover w/ foil to hold in heat, after about 20 min, remove foil and let brown about 10 min.
Micro is the best way wrap w/plastic and zap on low (40% )power 15 seconds at a time till warm, they won't dry out or over cook.)
i'm going to agree witrh those who said steam. it's the best way.
