rice, salad and Italian garlic bread or cornbread.

You don't really need a side dish with stew, as it has lots of veggies in it. Serve it with a salad and some good crusty bread or biscuits.

Beef stew is a main course usually. It is good with a good crusty Italian/French bread or a garden salad.

mash potaoes or roasted potatos

A mountain of mashed potato and gravy.
That was last nights dinner, real comfort food.

denty more it up have potato and carrots

Cole slaw, salad, spinach, fried cabbage.

Garlic bread or salad. Here are two good recipes:

Homemade garlic bread:

1 cube real butter
3-4 cloves garlic, minced

Saute together about 5 minutes.
Spread on fresh sliced french bread with a pastry brush. Heat under the broiler until light brown. Yummy!!

Caesar Coleslaw

1 pkg pre-made coleslaw
1/4-1/2 cup shredded parmesean cheese
1/2 pkg caesar croutons
1 bottle creamy caesar dressing

Toss first three ingredients together. Add enough dressing to coat. It's even good the next day!

Red Wine. ;-)

some breadsticks..
or french bread..

theres not really much as a side dish..

i mean you could serve..
rice..

but i mean beef stew has everything in it..

Beef stew is beef stew... as long as it has potato, carrots, onions, tomato and beef (obviously) no side is needed. Bread is always nice to dip into it :0)

Sourdough Bread
Cornbread
Spinach Salad with wam bacon dressing

biscuits, corn muffins or bread, garlic bread or plain italian bread heated up. I also like just having toast with it too.

Stew is a one pot meal. Have crackers or cornbread with it.

Beef stew is really a meal in itself. I serve either a salad, crusty bread or biscutts with lots of butter yum.

cornbread or baking powder biscuts are always good. if you don't want to put potatoes in the stew, you can serve it over mashed. that's pretty much all you need with stew. everything's already in it. a nice apple pie goes good for dessert though.

A salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, alfalfa sprouts, bell peppers, sun flower seeds and dried cranberries/raisins): This salad is delicious and healthy! Just add your favorite dressing!
And I would have some kind of roll, like crescents, or dinner roll, something like that! Oh or corn bread! Thats REALLY good with stew!

Stews of any description are designed to be eaten on their own or with chunks of good crusty white bread or Irish soda bread. When you make your stew make sure you don't cut the vegetables to small 1/2 inch square or bigger is good and if you like add some dumplings. If your doing it in the oven do the dumplings for the last 25 Min's in the stew with the pot uncovered to get a nice crispy topping on the dumplings (dough balls if you're Scottish). It's a firm fav. with my family.

Yummm....just some good ol' country fresh bread or biscuits.
Could make dumplings....
Its a good meal as is.To filling to add a salad also.
