How are Duncan Hines brownies?!

Question: i'm making Duncan Hines brownies tomorrow. I usually make Betty Crocker..but since Duncan Hines is on sale for $1.25 per box....i'll try that. How r they??? taste? texture? anything i can modify? i plan to substitute apple sauce for the oil.. it worked great for betty crocker.
can i add like melted chocolate to it to like betty crocker's hershey package thing? or is it good enough??

all suggestions possible please.
and if u have any modifications to Duncan Hines brownie mix, i'll love to hear them!! ^^

I actually like Duncan Hines better than Betty Crocker -- they seem a little more moist.

Applesauce is just a very healthy way to take out the oil, but still have a delicious dessert.

I put chocolate chips instead of melted chocolate. And, nuts, of course, unless someone's allergic. Yummy!

Also, if you get a chance to get one of those rubberized pans, they work great!

delic

they are yummy just as they are

I have never used the applesauce in them just went by the box directions and they are really good....Good Luck

They taste like chocolate pillows. I used to like boxed brownies until I made my own from scratch.
