How do I cook baked potatoes in the oven?!

Question: DO NOT POKE POLES!!
Wash, dry them. Rub with oil or butter, sprinkle with sea salt or coarse salt. Put on a cookie sheet. Place in a 350* oven for 40 45 for 1 or an hour for a whole pan full. NEVER POKE HOLES!!!! NEVER WRAP IN FOIL(until you serve but not necessary!)!!!!
If you poke holes they won't be fluffy. If you cook them in the microwave, then you have to poke holes or they will explode, Not in the regular oven!!!

poke holes in the potatoes with a fork, wrap them each in tinfoil and bake them, 45 min or so 400 degrees.

About 400 degrees for an hour or so. Stick a fork in it and see if it's soft.

Wash the skin. Poke holes in the potatoes with a fork. You can wrap them in foil or place on a baking tray. Cook for about 1 hour at 400 degree. Enjoy

You scrub them clean, pat them dry, poke holes in them, wrap them in foil, then just put them on a rack and bake at 375 for 45 minutes to an hour (using an oven glove, squeeze them after 45 minutes, and if they are soft, they are done).

Or do the same, DON'T poke holes in them, and place them on a baking pan in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour.

preheat oven to 400 degrees. Stab the potatoe about 6 times with a fork (make sure its washed off first). then cook it for 45-55 minutes. just a side note- if you cook it in a microwave it will be done in about 5 minutes.

Scrub them, place on rack in 400 degree oven for an hour or until easily pierced. DO NOT POKE HOLES IN THEM THAT WILL DRY THE POTATO OUT. DO NOT WRAP IN FOIL, THAT WILL STEAM THEM. UNWRAPPED WILL CRISP THE SKIN.

Scrub them in warm soapy water. Rinse well. Oil them with canola oil (whatever is best for you). Wrap in aluminum foil bake at 350 for about 1 hour or until soft.

first rinse it then put oil then rap in foil put in oven for 1:00 then let cool off

You have to try this so simple yet all the difference in the world'' Cut potato in half and score the inside with a knife, spread butter to each side put a half a slice of bacon and half a slice of onion on one side, put the sides together and wrap in aluminum foil throw in oven at 350 to 375 for about half an hour or until you can feel the potato soften when squeezed.
Incredible on BBQ. Raves galore.. Speed up the process by microwaving the potato for about 5 min on high (Don't forget to poke a few holes in it) or until it just starts to soften HOT!! then follow the recipe..

It depends on how you like them, Do you like a little more texture to the skins or do you like it nice and soft?

If you want a chewier type skin (my hubby loves this) tehn scrub and poke a few holes with a fork. Pour about a tablepoon or less of olive oil into your hand and rub all over the potato and place on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with garlic salt or seasoned salt, turn and do the second side. Bake at 350 for about 45 min or until the potato gives sligtly with a gentle squeeze.

Or if you want a very "delicate" skin then srub, and wrap in tin foil, and then bake at 350 for approx 45 min etc...

personally i wash under warm tap water and dry. then i rub each potato with butter and salt then wrap in foil. i like mine to steam i dont like the skins crunchy. and bake for 45 min to 1 hour.

Turn oven on 350...Scrub potatoes ( about the same size) with a brush..prick them several times with a fork, on both sides....Add garlic powder if you like to butter and take some in your hand and rub all over the potatoes, generously, and then salt the outside of the potatoes.....put on the middle rack and bake for about an hour or testing with a fork for doneness.....

First wash it in warm water while doing this pre-heat the oven for 5 minutes then wrapped potato in a foil then put potato in a tray or firex for 450% for 25 minutes then 350% for 20 minutes then poked potato to make sure it soft and everything is cook. Good luck

First get an Idaho or russet potato, wrap it in Heavy Duty Alum Foil, cut a slit along the the body. Place close to the bottom of the oven. Depending on the size, bake for 1 -2 1/2 hours at 425 degrees or even at 350 degrees will work but takes longer on the scale, while you are making a roast..

Preheat your oven to about 375 dgrees wash your potatoes off. poke hole inthem with a fork rubthe outside f the potaoe with oil (canola, olive or vegetable) wrap the potatoe in aluminum foil and place the potatoes directly on the ovens rack bake for about an hour

The instructions are in the name really, simply put the potato in the oven. A temperature of 375 to 400 for 30-45 minutes should do you just fine, depending on the size of the potato. DO NOT POKE HOLES OR WRAP THEM! Both of these poor suggestions will only serve to dry out your potato. The already come with a skin, just throw them on the rack. Happy eating!

I wash the potato first, don't pierce with a fork- rub over with olive oil and then sprinkle with sea salt. Wrap in a little foil for the first part of cooking and remove foil half an hour from the end. When you get them out of the oven wrap in a tea towel or kitchen towel roll and hit with a wooden spoon- this apparently causes the steam in the potato to push through the potato flesh making it fluffy!! If you had pierced it to start with this wont work! Open up as a regular potato and then add lashings of salt pepper and fresh butter!
