How can i make a good coleslaw?!

Question: a couple of things to remember
always shred the ingredients quite finely

use savoy cabbage if you can get it
use some shredded apple
celery, finely shredded onion, not too much
shredded carrot
make up a mix of some good mayonnaise (a brand that is not too sweet a good one is Norganics Golden Soya Mayonnaise) and some cider vinegar, a little olive oil til you get a good pouring consistency and a little hot mustard.
dress the salad so that it is well covered but not smothered
good luck

My ex-mother-in-law made the best coleslaw. You MUST use Hellmans mayonnaise. Shred about 1/4-1/2 a head of cabbage add about 1/2c. Hellmans mayo. mix well add 1-1/2 T. of sugar and 1=1/2 T. of vinegar. Salt and pepper to taste. ENJOY. IT IS WONDERFUL!!!!!

I found that shredding the green cabbage in the food processor, with the carrots makes great cole slaw. More of the juices are released. I mix Miracle Whip with cider vinegar and a little sugar and mix it into the carrot/cabbage mix. Let sit in fridge for an hour or so to develop the taste.

In large bowl, combine 1/4 cup red or white wine vinegar, 2 T sugar, 2 T canola or vegetable oil, and 1 tsp celery salt. Add 1 sack preshredded coleslaw mix. Stir to coat and add S&P to taste.

This is a Rachael Ray recipe. It's so easy, and whenever I make it, I get rave reviews.
