Beans on Toast
Ingredients:
1 can of baked beans,
toast,
olive oil,
one red pepper,
one white onion,
fresh garlic
some diced tomatoes,
crushed red hot pepper flakes,
and perhaps a jalepeno pepper, if desired
Instructions
Sautee the chopped red pepper, onion, garlic and jalepenos in a pan. After a few minutes add the diced tomatoes (chopped) and the beans, along with the hot red pepper. Get the toast going in a toaster oven with a little olive oil drizzled on top.
When the toast is crisp and hot, pour the beans and vegetables from the pan on top of the toast (best if it is piled high and spilling over onto the plate).
Keep a fork and knife handy and enjoy!
ive never tried that
but what kind of bread are u going to use?
sounds odd
sounds pretty gross.
One of my favs (coz the only thing i can cook)
I grill the toast and have a whole can of beans cook that on the hob, and put grated cheese on top.
Ideal for lunch
Well there is no recipe really, open can of beans and heat, toast the bread, put beans on top of toast. I always have a whole can and one slice of toast with butter on it, and then top it with grated cheese, anyone who thinks that is gross has never tried it, it HAS to be Heinz beans in tomato sauce or it doesn't taste as good. It's one of the best meals you can have.
Beans on toast is not gross ! Sorry .. But Yeah i love it. I just have a tin of beans and 3 slices of white bread for toast :]
Use a whole tin! I like adding pepper to mine too. I often do scrambled egg on toast and beans on toast as one meal. Pepper the eggs, lovely!!
open a tin of baked beans, add to a frying pan in whiche you have firied 4 strips of diced bacon and 1 chopped onion. heat and then spread on hot butter whole wheat toast.enjoy!
erm...white bread....Heinz Baked Beans (in the blue labeled tin...not that pork and beans crap that is so prevalent here in the States)...and sharp cheddar cheese...
stick the bread in the toaster...then put half a can of beans on the slice of toast...shred some sharp cheddar on top of that...stick it in the oven for a couple of minutes...
then a bit of fresh ground black pepper on top....
crud...I'm gonna have to run to the market...I'm hungry for this, and I ain't got any beans here at the house...
thanks!
its quite nice just toast the toast and cook the beans in a pan (however many u can eat really, i use half) and pour the beans on top.
I like mine with Worcester sauce on top then popped under the grill for a couple of mins. A sprinkle of grated cheese and grilled till it is crisp is good.
Actually prefer my baked beans on Crisp-fried bread or with eggy bread.
For a change,
add some chili.
add some diced onion.
add some cold meat. (leftovers)
My brother will eat a whole can, on two slices of toast, with an egg on top.
We bought a platter large enough, so two slices of toast will sit side by side without hanging over, and deep enough so the sauce doesn't spill over.
Well I love beans on toast! Great big slabs of wholemeal bread toasted. (Got to be HP beans for me, or any that aren't too cheap-they're like eating bullets!) And i like either a bit of curry powder in them or lots of grated cheese melted on top. The plate HAS to be hot so that been spilling over the edges of the toast (in a very tantalizing manner) don't get cold. Whole tin if you're hungry and your friends and family aren't offended by flatulence lol.
Mmm I could eat it right now!
mix the beans up with butter and red diced onion and cheese and on white bread
dig hole two foot square, sink beans into hole with straw and dried grass and hot stones cooked in fire, cover with dry manure for two days, remove from hole and add to toasted lambs wool that has been dryed in a river, and add sheep pellets to taste, and enjoy!
never heard of it and it sounds disgusting!
