Answers: I usually use Franks red hot , cut with 2Tb of butter for 1/2 cup of hot sauce.

here's the hooters recipe if you're a fan...

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup louisiana hot sauce
1 dash pepper, Ground
1 dash garlic powder
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
10 chicken wings
bleu cheese salad dressing
celery
vegetable oil, for frying

1. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees.
2. You want just enough oil to cover the wings entirely -- an inch or so deep at least. Combine the butter, hot sauce, ground pepper, and garlic powder in a small saucepan over low heat. Heat until the butter is melted and the ingredients are well blended.
3. Combine the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt in a small bowl.
4. If the wings are frozen, be sure to defrost and dry them.
5. Put the wings into a large bowl and sprinkle the flour mixture over them, coating each wing evenly.
6. Put the wings in the refrigerator for 60 to 90 minutes.
7. (This will help the breading to stick to the wings when fried.) Put all the wings into the hot oil and fry them for 10 to 15 minutes or until some parts of the wings begin to turn dark brown.
8. Remove the wings from the oil to a paper towel to drain.
9. But don't let them sit too long, because you want to serve the wings hot. Quickly put the wings into a large bowl.
10. Add the hot sauce and stir, coating all the wings evenly.
11. You could also use a large plastic container with a lid for this.
12. Put all the wings inside the container, add the sauce, put on the lid, then shake. Serve with Bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks on the side.

spicy garlic

Red Hot and butter is pretty good. You could add a little sprinkle of cajun seasoning too...

There are some hotter barbeque sauces that are great on wings...

I gave the Red Hot and orange juice thing a "thumbs up". Sounds great to me and I will try it. Putting the dip in an orange rind doesn't sound all that attractive or functional to me...

Try bottle of Texas Pete and stick of butter.
Try pouring vinegar over wings right before you marinate to wash off any excess water and open pores for flavor, of course let vinegar drain off after a minute or two

I also use Frank's and add the juice of an orange. Spicy and sweet. Cut the orange in half, squeeze the juice out, then hollow out the orange half and fill with blue cheese, ranch or your favorite dip

that's EXACTLY it.

For Pats fans?

Toss the wings in rat poison and HGH....and don't forget to invite Rodney HGHarrison over.

this is what I use, got it from Bobby Flay

1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1 to 2 tablespoons pureed chipotle chile in adobo
1 tablespoon New Mexico chili powder
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1 to 2 tablespoons honey
1 stick unsalted butter, quartered

Bring the vinegar, chipotle puree, 2 tablespoons chili powder and New Mexico chili powder to a simmer in a large high-sided saute pan over medium heat. Remove the mixture from the heat and whisk in the mustard, salt, honey, and butter until smooth. Add the wings to the mixture and toss to coat.

or if you like it hotter try this one

Chipotle Hot Sauce:
1 1/2 cups red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 to 3 tablespoons chipotle pepper puree (depending on how spicy you like it)
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt and freshly ground pepper
1 stick unsalted butter, cut into pieces
2 tablespoons ancho chile powder
Whisk together the vinegar, Dijon mustard, chipotle puree, honey, and oil in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Melt butter in a large skillet or a large pot on the grates of the grill. Add the hot sauce mixture and bring to a boil. Whisk in the ancho chile powder and season with salt, to taste.

i love Blue cheese with them!
