Favorite pancakes-be creative!?!
Answers: mine are chocolate chip with peanut butter spread on top :)
my favorite are the large thick buttermilk pancakes with a warm blueberry or cherry sauce poured on top!! And a nice scoop of fat free whipped cream is a HUGE bonus! LOL
I always read tons of recipes about pancake recipes and i always think the simpler the better! If we are talking about french crepe style pancakes then fresh lemon juice and sugar spirnkled over - you just can't beat it!
I like mine with just whip cream, strawberries and blueberries.
Crepes is what I usually make. I spread strawberry jam, & whipping cream then roll crepe. Add fresh strawberries to the side and sprinkle with 10x sugar. Dazzle with melted dark chocolate in zig-zag form. You could do with pancakes.
You can't beat plain lemon-juice and a bit of sugar in my opinion.
I like either cut up smoky links (smoked sausage) or crumbled bacon in mine with real maple syrup and butter on top.
butter milk pancakes with banana, and chocolate topping with a sprinkle of cheese
Creative means different. Do you like this?...
Pour some broken chestnuts (or cashews or peanuts), some drops of licquor, honey, cinnamon powder, whipped cream -just on the borders-.
And you can add in he middle a ball of banana, vainilla, or strawbery icecream.
Licquors: malt whiskey, cognac, dark rhum; and even better e strawberry licquor or Garnd Marnier).
Still more creative? present this over a strawberry coulis in the dish. How? Boil strawbwerrys with sugar and water, untill you get a puree (around10 minutes).Try the sugar it has. Filter it. Or vainilla cream.
Please, dont forget to call me. I′ve never seen anything like that. And... take a picture!
w/a over easy egg cooked right in the middle , quite yummy when you pop it , especially funny when the kids do since they can't see it , i tell them they're pancake is bleeding !
well over here in asia we have savoury pancakes/crepes. theyve got stuff like tuna, ham, cheese, mayonnaise in them. :)
i've also tried these little pancakes with spring onions in them, and you put this seafood sauce on them...its delicious!
