How long and what temp do I back 1/2" thick port chops for? I am using shake and bake.?!
Answers: ive seen anywhere from 350 for 20 minutes to 400 for an hour...
With shake and bake I would go with the lower temperature as the coating will have a tendency to brown more or burn at a higher temperature. I am assuming that this is a bone in pork chop about total weight of 8 oz. Preheated oven at 350 for approx. 40-50 min or until firm to the touch.
400 for 20 mins
I'd check the 'Shake & Bake' box.
If you cook them too fast at a HIGH temp. they'll be too Pink/Raw in the Center.....1/2" Thick....350/375 for 35/40min?
