Steaks get thinner as they cook, so the more done you like it, the thicker it should be. I like my steak to be MR or Meduim with at least 1" thickness. Please don't ruin it by pressing it with a spatula while it cooks. It's a pet peeve of mine. I believe the perfect steak doesn't NEED any sauce due to loss of moisture and flavor. It squeezes out the good moisture and juices.

I say a good rib eye 1' thick steak mmmmmmm,thanks now i'm hungry,so thanks for nothing lol kidin,but i say 1 inch.

I RESEMBLE THAT REMARK.
thanks.

It's a bit like other things, the measurements aren't that important, it is what you do with it that counts, but I prefer my steak at about 2cm...

1 1/2 in. Omaha sirloins

A perfect steak is the one you don't have to disguise with A1 or any type of sauce at all. In order for it to taste good or be juicy enough......

1 1/2 inch floats my boat
