How about you?

Your recipe sounds delish --

I like a very old Scottish recipe called "rumbledethumps". Great name eh? You sautee shredded cabbage and chopped onion in butter and add as much cold, boiled, mashed potato as you've got. Heat this all up in a big skillet till the cabbage melts (it actually melts) and the potato gets very hot and starts to brown on the bottom... add some grated cheese, stir till gooey, then put the whole thing into a baking dish, dot with butter and more cheese and bake it till it's brown and ridiculously delicious. It's completely possible to eat a quart of this at one sitting. This stuff should be illegal.

Even better -- fry whatever's left (usually not much) the next day formed into little cakes in more butter till they are crisp.

I love roasted potatoes

MASHED! with gravy.

sounds yummy i never tried it fryed with butter but it sure has a lot of calories i like it baked sprenkeled with salt and peper enjoy

right now, I am eating red white and blue potato salad- red potatoes, onion, mayo, bacon, blue cheese, salt and pepper. It is so good!!!

With cheese!!!!!!! :) I love them smothered with cream! I like to cut up big french fries!! I really like them cooked in butter with a little bit of salt and pepper an some ketchup mixed with hot sauce on the side! One of my favorite recipes is cauliflower and potato casserol! Blanch cauliflower and the potatoes. Sautee garlic and onion in butter then add heavy cream, cream cheese and monterey jack cheese to a large pan with the potatoes and cauliflower. Add some thyme, salt, pepper and mix. Cover the top with cheese then foil and pop it in the oven for about 30 min. Uncover and let the cheese brown. Enjoy!!

Ypu really can't go wrong with patatoes in my opinion but I recently came across a recipe of Paula Deens for potato wedges and they are really good.

take 1/4lb bacon chop and start frying in a pan. add 6 cups of diced potatoes season with salt and pepper and fry till golden brown. yummy for breakfast or whenever.

Ketchup is ancillary. Potatoes and salt are the perfect compliment. Butter too. Better have some butter.

I love to have fried potatos topped with saurkraut and mustard!!! Sounds wierd, but so yummy!!

baked or mashed, but I agree about the half cup of butter and some salt

Jacket potatoes, the best ever, you can top them with virtually everything and they are a complete meal in themself with just a knob of butter on them and some black pepper.

mashed yum

Roasted in dripping or mashed with saffron, cream and butter.

I know it's not healthy and really fattening but I only do roasties once a week and saffron mash about once a month - I think I'm entitled to that!

I prefer my potatoes to be left at the store, I don't care for them. . . .but I'm not a starch or carb lover. . . .

My favorites are:

Au Gratin with extra sharp cheddar

Mashed with gravy

Baked whole until the skin gets slighlty crunchy and the inside gets tender and fluffy with lite sour cream/lite butter

Potato Salad (Red potatoes, red onion, scallion, hard boiled eggs, mayo.poppyseed, black pepper, salt)
