Spaghetti sauce?!

Question: Does anyone know how to make a sauce that will make plain spaghetti taste good?
Usually I will flavor the sauce with meat, but sometimes I just don't feel like preparing any meat, so does anyone know how to make a sauce that will taste good without it?

"A simple, slow cooked, authentic spaghetti sauce, as good as the restaurants serve...or better! The secret ingredient is baking soda, but do not taste the sauce right after adding it. Wait a while, and this sauce will not disappoint you. It is good right from the stove, but the flavors blend overnight. Best served with your favorite meatball recipe, where the meatballs cook in the sauce the last half hour. Be prepared to take a nap after eating."

INGREDIENTS
4 (14.5 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes
2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
4 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
3 cups water or vegetable stock
4 cups fresh sliced mushrooms
2 onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 teaspoons white sugar
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1 tbl italian seasoning
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
2 pinches baking soda
dash hot sauce
1 tbl balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

I like Ramon noodles and spaghetti sauce. Mmm. I like just plain tomato sauce and a paste and whole tomatos!! Its plain but sooo good!! I dont like meat in mine.

tin of chopped tomatoes
squish of tomato puree
garlic, basil, oregano
fresh black pepper
generous dash olive oil

throw it all in a pan and heat, allow to simmer for 5 - 10 mins cook spag, the oil helps it coat the pasta

good to eat now, with a chunk of bread

Chop up some mushrooms or used chopped canned mushrooms, garlic or garlic powder, Italian seasonings. Be creative, that is what cooking is all about. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. All ways right everything down.

I love spaghetti without meat.
I make a very nice sauce from fried onions and tomato that seems very close to the real Italian thing.
Simply fry cut onions until quite well done, add sliced fresh tomato or skinless ones from a can, and a little water.
Reduce until no more tomato chunks can be seen.
I usually add origanum and parsley
Add salt and pepper to taste.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Yummy
Going to make some now.....
