The View, Chili recipe?!
Answers: I was watching The View today and they said they would be posting the chili recipe on the site abc.com/theview from the show today and I can't seem to find it. Help please?!
Next guest from Houston, Texas literally has chili in her blood! She comes from a family of award-winning recipes. With Super Bowl Sunday right around the corner, who better to show us how to whip up a bowl of football fan's favorite snack than the self-proclaimed "Queen of All Things Chili" and founder of Cin Chili & Co.?, Cindy Reed Wilkins. If you'd like to prepare your own yummy bowl to enjoy during the big Super Bowl, here is Cindy's recipe straight from her Chili Dynasty:
STEP 1:
2 Lbs. beef chuck tender cut into 3/8 inch cubes- cut the meat
Throw in pan with:
1 tsp. cooking oil
1 tsp. seasoned salt
In a four quart heavy saucepan, add the above ingredients while browning the meat.
STEP 2:
1 8 oz. can no-salt tomato sauce
1 14 ? oz can beef broth
1 tsp. chicken bouillon
1 tsp. beef bouillon
1 tbsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. chili powder
? tsp. jalapeno powder
? tsp salt
? tsp black pepper
Bring beef broth and tomato sauce to a slight boil; combine seasonings and add to the beef mixture. Return to a boil; reduce heat and simmers for 1 hour. Sear and float two Serrano peppers.
STEP 3:
5 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
? cayenne pepper
2 tsp. cumin
? tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. seasoned salt
Combine seasonings and add to beef mixture. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. You may add water or beef broth for consistency. Remove Serrano peppers when they become soft.
STEP 4:
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
? tsp. garlic powder
? tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. cumin
Combine seasonings and add to beef mixture. Simmer for 30 minutes.

Episode: Chili
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 pounds ground beef
1 (14-ounce) can beef broth (recommended: Swanson's)
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce (recommended: Hunt's)
Batch one:
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon jalapeno powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
Batch two:
5 tablespoons red chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon brown sugar
Batch three:
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
In a large heavy bottom pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 8 minutes. Season with salt and drain off the excess grease. Add the tomato sauce and the beef broth and simmer for 1 hour. Add all of the ingredients from Batch one, stir and simmer for 35 more minutes. Add Batch two to the pot and cook for another 20 minutes, stirring often. Add Batch three and cook for 10 more minutes. Let cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use in Cin Chili Stuffed Poblano Peppers, Cin Chili Puffs, and Cin Chili Con Queso.
