Grilled Cheese sandwich and Tomato Soup

Chili

Spaghetti

Grilled Cheeseburger.... (make hamburger with onions and mushrooms.... Make a grilled cheese sandwich and stuff it with the burger and onions and mushrooms)

**** be sure to always cut sandwiches on an angle.... it is more appetizing .........

hope this helps you and your brother.

I just made a big pot of Chili con carne for my hubby to take to work for lunch.

Sandwiches are always simple, easy, and versatile. Here's a few sandwiches that I would suggest:

1) Hard Salami & Cheese on White Bread
2) Turkey, Cheese, Ranch Dressing, & Lettuce on Whole Wheat Bread
3) Ham & Cheese
4) Grilled Cheese w/ slice of tomato in the middle
5) Cream Cheese & Olives on White Bread
6) Toasted White Bread w/ Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato & Mayo
7) Beef Bologna, Cheese, Mustard on Wheat Bread
8) Hard Salami, Cheese, & Mustard on White Bread
9) Roast Beef, Barbeque Sauce on White Bread

You can also make him several types of salads. You can do a Chef Salad with crips iceburg lettuce, chunks of ham, hard-boiled eggs, shredded carrots, shredded red cabbage, & Hidden Valley Ranch dressing.

You can make Cheese Steaks with Minute Steak. All you have to do is cook the steak, add cheese when it's almost completely browned, fry together, and then serve on a fresh roll with ketchup and some fried onions.

If you're feeling tired one day, you can serve him some Ramen soup which comes in various flavors (Beef, Chicken, Shrimp, Oriental, etc) and you can even add some peas, sliced carrot, and corn into the soup for him.

When I was taking care of my mother during the day when she was home because of surgery for her heel spur, I used to make a lot of Pasta/Rice Sides. They're only a dollar a piece by Lipton or Knorr either one and all you need is Milk, Butter & they cook in about 6 minutes. Sometimes I'd add a vegetable to it, she loved it.

You can also prepare tuna-fish with mayo and serve it on bread or crackers for him.

soups and sandwiches are quick and easy but they get old,
you could make spaghetti or tacos pretty fast. Don't forget frozen food theres a huge variety of frozen things that would work. I like making a salad and stuffing it into pita bread thats pretty simple and if you have pita left over you can use it as the bottom of your own homemade pizza the next day for lunch.

Make home made lunchables - lunch meat, crackers, cheese, mustard. Those always hit the spot.

what about chicken salad, alittle chicken, onion, bell pepper, celery, hard boiled eggs, mayonaise and salt and pepper to spice it up i would add a little creole mustard and hot sauce. if not that try chicken salad and grapes. a cheese and fruit plate is always nice or cottage cheese and pears. I also like cream cheese and crushed pineapple mixed togather and served on crackers. I don't know if you are trying for something light or easy to fix. there's always pasta salad.

Cheap and soooooo easy is pizza.
Get some thin lavash bread or pita bread.
Spread tomato sauce (can even be pasta sauce)
Sprinkle with desired toppings
Put in a medium heat oven for 10 mins or untill cheese has melted.
Enjoy!

You prolly didnt need instructions but the idea is good.

You could make him some soup or chili and then set out some sandwich fixin's. The chile/soup he can eat after you have gone and if it's to much for him right now just freeze it. I sounds like he is a bachelor and would appreiciate having some home made food in the freezer at a later time. If's he's not single the woman in his life would probably appreciate it as well.

Also how about wraps, a flavored tortilla wrap, chicken, beef, turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, dressings etc, Or use tuna salad, or chicken salad etc... Steam the tortilla to make it "pliable" then add the goodies. Fold 2 end towards then center then roll, from the "top" to the "bottom" Keep it in a nice tight roll. Slic diagnally and serve with chips or something like that. Yum
