Over cooking in crock pot?!

Question: I am making kalua pork in my crock pot.

I put a 5.5 lb pork butt roast (with bone) in the crock pot at 9PM last night (the recipe stated to cook for 20 hours on low).
This morning, after about 8 hours on low, I went to turn the roast as instructed and it fell apart. Normally, I would take this as done.
I am at work now and can't exactly go "deal with" my pork.
There was lots of liquid in the crock pot and by the time I get home to take it out it will have been in for the twenty hours recommended for the five pound roast.

What am I going to wind up with if it was in there for WAY too long? Mush? I can only assume it will still taste good, it just won't have the typical kalua pork texture.

HELP!!

Wow,20 hours,that must be a printing error!
Your pork should still taste good though,it will fall apart and be very tender,so just cook some potatoes and veg to go with it and make a lovely rich gravy from the juices to go with it.

My mouth is watering at the thought, and I don't eat pork(I simply don't like it!)but yours sounds gorgeous.Enjoy!

It should be fine, it will probably be like the pulled pork that you can shred with a fork and use on buns for a really great sandwich.

you probably should have turned it off or turned it to warm. 20 hours seems way too long. good luck.

I am not sure what texture you are looking for, but your pork will be juicy and tender, and great for sandwiches or over rice. The cooking time given you was a bit long, 10-12 hours would have been fine.

You will have a great meal when you get home, enjoy.

I wouldn't cook anything in the crock pot for 20 hours. yes it will be falling totally apart.
4-5 hours is plenty of time....
