Pecan pie recipe?!
Answers: please supply one that you've actually tried and think is good
INGREDIENTS
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening, chilled and diced
3 tablespoons ice water
2 teaspoons butter
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup real maple syrup
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, mix together flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut half of the shortening into flour mixture, until fine crumbs form. Cut in remaining shortening until coarse crumbs form. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, tossing with fork until a dough forms. Shape dough into a disk and wrap in plastic wrap; chill for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
On a floured surface, using a floured rolling pin, roll dough into an 11-inch circle. Fit dough into a 9-in quiche dish. Trim edges
In a heavy skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over low heat. Add nuts and stir for about 5 minutes, or until nuts begin to color. Let cool for 10 minutes.
Mix together beaten egg, maple syrup, sugar, 1/3 cup melted butter, vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir in nuts. Pour filling into crust. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until filling is set. Transfer pan to wire rack and cool.

Can you use light or dark brown sugar instead of using white sugar with this recipe?
Is there anything nicer, with a dollop of whipped cream for those much needed extra calories!
Pecan Pie
3 eggs
1 cup corn syrup
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cups pecan halves
In a large bowl, lightly beat eggs until just mixed. Stir in corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in pecans and pour filling into unbaked 9" pie crust. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
I have made this recipe several times, and it is always loved.
Caramel-Pecan Pie
1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
2/3 cups sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
3 eggs
1 jar (12 ounces) Smucker's Caramel Topping
1-1/2 cups pecan halves
In mixing bowl, beat eggs slightly with fork. Add sugar, stirring until dissolved. Stir in topping and butter; mix well. Stir in pecan halves. Pour filling into pie shell. Bake at 350° F for 45 minutes or until knife inserted off-center comes out clean.
Cool thoroughly on rack before serving. Cover; chill to store.
