Super Bowl food ideas?!
Please help me decide on a menu with it being so close by. I want something that would be enjoyable for a group of 15.
Answers: I am looking for good food suggestions for food for the super bowl party. I do not want to spend all of my time in the kitchen cooking, I do not want to simply order pizza, and I want more than just chips and dips kind of snacks.
Please help me decide on a menu with it being so close by. I want something that would be enjoyable for a group of 15.
I have sent this websites to so many yahoo askers and they all were so happy with those ideas. Maybe you too. I found my super bowl foods right here as well.

Super Bowl Food Ideas??
I would suggest that you make it a BBQ and have every thing ready before the game..
Fijeta, Chicken, burgers, and things to that nature..
Beans *pinto beans (boil for 5 hours till soft, put in tomatoes, cilantro, oinions, and bacon/ham hock, then when done add salt and lime for taste)..
Rice (fry white rice, add tomatoe sauce, water, chicken broth/stalk, oinions a few, and cook till soft..)
You can add potatoe salad or any thing else..
Also you can put chips and dip out there for the guests.. Go for a fesitive night!! A person who knows!!
I love super bowl snacks, they have to be quick, manly and filling.
Most of the recipes I know you already probally know, so I am going to send you to a sight where I am definately going for ideas.
Foodnetwork.com rachel ray and sandra lee are definately quick and easy ones
Patriots here!
I am Bean Town Babe
I'm with you...who wants to spend all day in the kitchen!!!!
Here are all my favorite snacks. You may need to borrow a crock pot for the two crockpot recipes (if you only have one crockpot). Make the dips on Saturday (easier, plus the ingredients get to know one another). Have fun!!
Cream Cheese Cracker Spread:
Scallions, chopped black olives, cream cheese, cup grated cheese, dash garlic powder, dash onion powder, dash white pepper, dash salt. Blend together. shape into ball. serve with crackers. Optional: roll in chopped nuts.
Chicken Wings
We're all about easy! I buy the best sauce I can find for the flavor I want (terriaki, BBQ, etc.), then put the wings and the sauce in the crock pot until done (about 4-6 hours). If they're done sooner, I turn the crockpot to 'warm' and let them simmer. Yum!
This is the best and easiest dip recipe, and people always rave! I tell them it’s really hard to make (lol):
Cream Cheese Dip
2 large blocks of cream cheese
1 large jar Pace picante (medium)-use most of the jar
Soften cream cheese and mix with hand mixer until smooth. Add picante and mix with hand mixer. Leave in frig for a few hours to blend flavors. Serve with tortilla chips.
I know it seems too simple to be great, but it is!
Crab Dip is easy and very good.
1pkg Softened Cream Cheese
2 Tbsp Minced Onions
1/3 C. Bottled Chili Sauce
1 Can of Crab meat
Parsley Flakes to Garnish
Mix onion with cream cheese and spread on serving plate. Top with chili sauce. Sprinkle rinsed drained crabmeat on sauce & garnish with parsley flakes. Serve with Ritz crackers.
Takes about 5 minutes to put together .. and is always a hit!
This is also great!
Buffalo Chicken Dip
2 (5 ounce) cans chicken, drained
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup ranch dressing
3/4 cup red hot sauce
shredded cheddar cheese (you decide the amount)
--Beat cream cheese, ranch dressing, and red hot sauce. Fold in shredded chicken. Spread mixture into pie plate sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Add cheddar to top and bake an additional 10-15 minutes. *Serve with fritos or tortilla chips*
SPINACH DIP
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, cooked & drained
2 sm. thin scallions, chopped fine
2 lg. eggs, hard cooked & chopped fine
1/3 c. mayonnaise
1/3 c. sour cream
2 scant tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
Dip size Fritos or tortilla chips
Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, mustard and Tabasco in medium bowl until smooth. Stir in spinach, scallions and eggs. Cover tightly and chill several hours. Serve with dip-size Fritos or tortilla chips. Yield: 2 cups.
This is fun!
Beer Boil
2 pounds of large shrimp (don't shell them)
2-3 cans beer (any kind)
water
1 pound kielbasa sausage
crab (king crab is best)
shrimp and crab boil (in any supermarket)
Slice the kielbasa into serving pieces. Wash the shrimp in cold water.
In a large pot, bring to a boil the beer, shrimp boil, and enough water to cover shrimp, etc.
Add crab and sausage. Cook 5 minutes. Add shrimp and cook until shrimp turns pink. Dump into a big pot. Use your fingers!!! Serve with melted butter, Gold Dipt cocktail sauce, and spicy mustard. Add frozen corn with the shrimp, if you like corn.
Here's my no fail, always asked-for nacho dip. When it's heated through, put it on warm or low, or unplug for a short time if it's too hot. Everyone raves about this:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef, browned
1 can cream mushroom soup
1/4 cup butter
2 lb Velveeta, cubed
2 cups Pace Chunky Salsa, (medium is our favorite, mild or hot if you like)
3 Tbsp Chili Powder
Put all into crock pot. Cook on low 1-1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve with tortilla chips. Yummy!
Because of the added ingredients, it doesn't harden quickly.
Have fun!

It depends how much work do you want to put in. You should find out what your friends like, and then make your menu based on that or you can do something totally different.
Here are some links posted below to you some ideas.
Easy - choose your favorite team chef & click on his/her recipe!
You need a buffet for that big. Make some spinage dip and crackers that stuff is good. And you can make alot of it. Also Chicken Wings is the food of choice. Nachos are also a good choice. As for drinks just get what your audience is if they are all over the drinking age then acholic beverages will work. Or lemonade, ice tea punch. As for main course Hamburgers or Hotdogs Even tacos. Mexican food is ussaly a good food choice for superbowl food because its good and cheap and tastes good. Tacos is good if you don't want to spend time because you can lay out the shells and the condiments. So my suggestion is Tacos, Spinach dip and cracker, Nachos and chicken wings and something to drink should be good.
