Strawberry frosting recipe?!
Should I just substitute the strawberry flavoring for vanilla extract? or strawberry extract????
Answers: Would it be okay to use strawberry flavoring in a regular frosting recipe??? I use powdered sugar, butter, vanilla (would I substitute the vanilla for strawberry???) and milk for creaminess....

I would use either strawberry extract or strawberry flavour.
As for adding milk, yes but only 1 tbsp at a time. Icing becomes too thin with addition of liquids. strawberry jam can also be used to flavor your icing, but it will not be as smooth.The color can be enhanced with red food coloring by the drop only, it's very concentrated.

FROSTED STRAWBERRIES
2 qt. strawberries
1/2 c. chopped pistachio nuts
1 container vanilla ready-to-spread frosting
6 tbsp. brandy
Place frosting and brandy in bowl or pan. Place over hot, not boiling, water and stir until melted and smooth. Cool just slightly. Hold strawberries by their hulls and dip in the melted frosting until covered 3/4. Twist wrist to remove excess frosting. Dip into dish with the chopped pistachios. Place on wax paper and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Strawberry Frosting:
Ingredients:
2 envelopes (1.3 ounces each) whipped topping mix
2/3cup milk
1 cup (6 ounces) white chocolate chips, melted
1/4 cup strawberry jam
Beat whipped topping mix and milk in medium bowl with electric mixer at low speed until blended. Beat at high speed 4 minutes until topping thickens and forms peaks. With mixer at low speed, beat melted chocolate into topping. Add jam; beat until blended. Chill 15 minutes or until spreading consistency.
*Strawberry Frosting*:
1 lb. of confectioners sugar
1 stick of butter
1 tsp. of vanilla
1/2 of a 10 oz. box frozen sliced strawberries, thawed
-Beat 1 stick butter until smooth. Add 1 pound confectioners sugar and other half of strawberries. Beat until smooth and add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. If frosting is too thick, thin with a little milk or cream.
OR
*FLUFFY Strawberry Frosting*:
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. dark corn syrup
3 tbsp. water
2 egg whites
-Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in very small, heavy saucepan. Reserve for cake.
