Can I add Ovaltine powder to milkshakes I make?!

Question: I usually make an afternoon milkshake with frozen bananas and milk, and I have ovaltine powder. DO you think if i add a couple tablespoons of powder to the shake in the blender it might taste good? More choclate-y? Anyone ever tried adding it or chocolate powder to shakes?

You can. The Ovaltine does nothing to the flavor, if it is already chocolate. (The only flavor I knw of Ovaltine is chocolate, so yeah...) Make sure you mix it in very well, as to not get any powdery texture in the milkshake. Like you said, no fat, so no big deal, and with the sugar content higher, it will give you more carbs, carbohydrates for those who don't know what carbs are, thus more energy. It will not affect anything in the milkshake other than the flavor so you should be good to go.

I think it would taste just fine - but don't forget ovaltine has malt too, not just chocolate. So you would get both flavours

I don't personally like choco and bananas. But I have added ovaltine. yummy I would not a cocoa powder, it must be cooked to taste right. But chocolate drink mix like what you would stir in milk is very ok.

I never used ovaltine but malt and chocolate syrup. at least ovaltine has vitamins. It sounds delicious so go for it.

SURE YOU CAN... and you can also weigh 400 pounds because that stuff is FATTENING... as in... very, very FATTENING.

Yes and yes. The worst thing that could happen is that it tastes bad. You may want to dissolve the Ovaltine in a little milk first, though, just so your shake doesn't end up all powder-y.

Oh yes you can! That's what I used to do when I was little and it's delicious.

That would be good! Just put in the same amount that you would put in a glass of milk!

A couple of tablespoons of peanut butter would be really good in there too!

mmm

You sure can and if you like chocolate, buy a bar of semi-sweet chocolate and grate it up into the shake... very yum.

Cheers

Lisa

Ovaltine or Nestles Chocolate powder work just great in milk shakes!! Don't use Hershey Cocoa as it will not blend in really good, but Hershey chocolate syrup works great too.

I have also used Nestles Strawberry powder and Hershey Strawberry syrup!!

Get creative!!

There is a milkshake shop in a town near us that is famous in the area for Peanutbutter Milkshakes!!! You can get any combination of over 25 different items in your milk shakes and malts!! My favorite place for a treat when we go through there.

My husband orders peanutbutter, banana, chocolate, coconut, cherry milkshakes. Another is the Honeymoon shake: coconut, pineapple, orange, banana, peach, caramel.
