Ground Beef
Pre heat your oven to 350 degrees.
In deep sided skillet add your ground beef and separate with a spatula and begin to cook over a medium low heat.
Add one teaspoon of minced garlic.
Add the mushrooms.
Add some Italian Seasoning.
Cut and chop the desired amount of Bell pepper and onion and add to the skillet. I use half a bell pepper and 1/3 of a white onion.
Cut the end off the zucchini and then cut in to small bite size squares and add to skillet.
Take the Italian Sausage links and cut in to 1 inch sections. It is a quick and easy way to make meatballs without getting too messy.
Add sausage to the skillet and stir occasionally until the meat has been browned.
Drain Grease and put back on the medium low heat.
For timing purposes you want to begin to boil your water for the pasta at this point. Follow the directions on the package of spaghetti noodles that you purchased as far as how much water to boil. But it is.
important to start boiling water at this point The noodles should be ready at about the same time as the sauce.
Put the two cans of tomato sauce in the skillet.
Take one of tomato sauce cans and fill it half way with water and pour the water in to the skillet.
Add Italian Seasoning.
Heat to boil.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for ten minutes stirring occasionally.
Add the noodles to the boiling water and stir frequently to prevent the noodles from sticking together.
Return noodles to rapid boil. Cook for length of time was directed on the package. If you think the noodles are done than you need to take one out and taste it. Some people throw a noodle on the wall and if it sticks they feel it is done. This is a messy way to do pasta and it marks up the wall. But in the end it is your wall and your noodles so have fun with it.
When pasta is ready you need to drain and rinse with hot water.
Place pasta back in pot or in serving bowl and add one table spoon of butter and stir.
*Hint* you may also use Linguini or angel hair spaghetti noodles just to add change.
When the noodles are getting close to being done, you need to stir in the tomato paste and continue simmering sauce uncovered. The tomato paste will thicken the sauce and add a deep red color.
Start tasting the sauce at this point to see if it needs more Italian seasoning or garlic. Salt and pepper are also welcome in this recipe. Remember that you can always add more but you can never take the seasoning out of the sauce.
Simmer on low until the noodles and garlic bread are done.
*Hint*.
If you like your spaghetti sauce to be sweet than you need to add one tablespoon of grape jelly in with the tomato paste. It sounds crazy but it will not makes it taste like grapes and it cooks out to where no-one.
can see you put it in there. It will be your little secret. It only adds some sweetness to the sauce. I promise. Do not add sugar.
In a small pan add two tablespoons of butter, one tea spoon of minced garlic, and some Italian Seasoning. Melt the butter and simmer for minute and set aside. *Hint* You can also microwave this in a small bowl.
Get a metal baking tray and cover it with foil. Take the day old bread and begin toasting the pieces in the toaster. You want to toast them just long enough for the edges to turn brown.
When you have enough bread to cover the metal baking sheet you need to take a spoon and drizzle the garlic butter over the toast and then bake for five minutes.Serve with meal.
*Hint* Add shredded cheese on top for a little something.
different.
Serve and Enjoy!

I can give you a very easy one, when I want spaghetti, I buy one or two of the premade sauce mixes, whatever is on sale.
(cheating I know)
Add some hamburger, mushrooms, pepper and onion if I have any handy, just help it out a bit, easy and fast.
Always serve your pasta al-dente (which means a tiny bit firm, not sticky but not cooked until mushy either)
If you are looking for the very best homemeade kind that you cook all day, sorry, I only know quick and easy.

Mama’s Spaghetti and Meatball Sauce
The trick to this recipe, as in most Italian cooking is to use the best ingredients you can find. The choice of meat is up to you, but I try to add a piece of both sparerib, and beef to the sauce, and prefer a combination of beef and veal, or beef and turkey for the meatballs. Here is the recipe;
For The Sauce:
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
2 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
1 Small Onion, Chopped Fine
1 Stalk of Celery, Finely Chopped
2 or 3 Small Pieces of Meat (Pork, Beef, or Chicken)
Salt & Pepper
1/4 Cup Chopped Basil
1/2 Tbsp. Dried Oregano
1/2 Tbsp. Dried Thyme
1/4 Cup Chopped Fresh Parsley
Dash of Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
2 (6oz) Cans Tomato Paste
1 (26 oz. can/box) Pureed Tomatoes
About 5 Cups water
3 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 Pound Of Spaghetti or Pasta of Choice
Brown the meat pieces in the oil until well browned. Add the garlic, onion, and celery and sauté until tender. Add the paste, tomatoes, water and herbs, and bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper to your own personal taste. Turn mixture down to a simmer, then drop the prepared meatballs into the sauce. Do not stir for the first 15 minutes or so until the meatballs begin to firm up.
Continue to cook for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally, and adding extra water as needed if the sauce becomes too thick. This sauce, with or without the meatballs can now be used over your pasta of choice. Just before serving, stir the 3 Tbsp. of grated cheese into the sauce. Though most people would choose spaghetti, personally I prefer rigatoni or penne. Serve over pasta cooked al dente, and offer a little more parmesan cheese at the table. With the addition of a nice mixed salad and some crusty Italian bread, this pasta dish would easily make a complete meal. I would choose a robust Chianti wine to accompany this meal.
Meatballs:
1 lb. Ground Beef
1/2 lb. Ground Pork or Veal
Salt & Pepper
1 or 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
2 Tbsp. Fresh Chopped Parsley
2 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 Egg
1 Cup Soft Bread Crumbs
1/2 Cup Water
Add the bread crumbs to the water to moisten. Mix all the ingredients together with the bread crumb mixture. Shape into golf ball sized balls, and gently drop into the simmering sauce. Buon Appetito!

Mark Strausman’s Tomato Sauce
--Makes about 9 cups
If you are preparing this recipe in August or September, use fresh plum tomatoes, which are at the height of their season then. Cut them into large pieces, and run them through the food mill just as you would canned tomatoes. Slow cooking will allow the skin to melt into the sauce. For canned tomatoes, Mark likes to use Italian plum tomatoes from the Italian San Marzano Valley. ("CENTO" is one brand.)
4 (28 oz) cans whole Italian plum tomatoes
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 tsp. crushed red-pepper flakes
1 cup Chianti or dry red wine
1 Tbsp. dried oregano
8 leaves fresh basil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Purée tomatoes in a food mill, removing most of the seeds. In a medium stockpot, heat olive oil over medium heat, add garlic, and sauté until golden brown, 1 to 2 minutes. Add red-pepper flakes. While oil is sizzling, slowly add half of the puréed tomatoes and the wine, stirring to mix. Add remaining tomatoes, reduce heat to low, and let simmer. Add oregano, and continue to simmer until slightly thickened, 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. The sauce may be kept in the refrigerator up to 3 or 4 days in an airtight plastic container or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
Do you want to know how to make spaghetti? It requires only flour, salt, egg, and a little water and olive oil.
You may be confused. Spaghetti is a type of pasta, not the name of a dish. So . . . tell me what you'd like with your pasta (spaghetti) and I can give you some suggestions.
