Can u reheat in your slowcooker/crockpot?!


Question: I ahve a slow cooker/crock pot which i used for casseroles etc. Can u use it to reheat the following day? Eg put it on low or high for half the time?

some crock pots have a warm element but it really would be easier to just re-heat in the microwave or in a pot on the stove. It would take quite a while to do it in a crock pot.

It does take a long time. If you have the time then yes it would work. Watch out for things over-cooking.

it really would not give the same affect as a microwave. slow cooking is great, gives food a nice taste but when it comes to reheating your just gonna suck the juices out of the food. much better off cooking in the slow cooker/crock pot then if your going to reheat then use a microwave.
