What is a #2 can and a #10 can?!

I am a former chef a #2 can is a 19 oz tin and a #10 is a commercial numbering style for a 100 oz can, it must have been an old recipe.

Up here in Canada we use both the metric and old Imperial measurements for alot of things still, like years ago when they used terms like gills, pecks and bushels.

#2 is usually about 15oz and a #10 is a very large resturant size can about 80oz

average cups per can is 2 1/2

# 10 can Average weight is 6 pounds 10oz.
average cups 13.
