No NO NO NO! Salmonella is NOT your friend! And yes, lol, farm eggs are kind of supposed to be refrigerated the same as any other. I know, I grew up on a farm and they always say something to the effect of the chicken's butt not being refrigerated. Please do not play Russian roullette with your food. You may get away with eating rotten food from time to time with no problem. But unsafe food practices kills peopel and makes more people miserable each year than you can imagine? That little old thing called the stomache flu? It's real name is food poisoning. Also- whoever said that it's ok to eat it is wrong! Unless you make cookies that are cooked at an internal temp of165 degrees for longer than 15 minutes- that's called charcoal where I live. This dough is unsafe-toss it! If anyone here is unsure, look it up on servsafe. Salmonella IS a pathogen though there are 2000 different kinds and not ALL of them are pathogenic to humans.
As long as you cook the dough you are fine. Don't lick the bowl. You shouldn't lick anyway, but if there is any e.coli it will be baked out.
It needs to be in the fridge hun and I am sorry it is a total loss.once the eggs are cracked it gives bacteria a chance to multiply
Of cource mmmmmmmmmm ;)
yes you can use it and the reason why is so simple ,
as you usualy cook thes at a high heat and you cook them thouraly , theres no problem with bacteria such as salmonella as the bacteria will be killed off so bake and enjoy them i have a diploma in food hygene and safety so do know what i am talking about and salmonella is not a pathogen and as such will not form a shell around itself to protect it from heat or cold
Why did you leave it out all night? I wouldn't try it...I wouldn't eat anything like that if it was out all night.
I would definitely toss it out!
There's no guarantee that cooking the dough would kill all the bacteria, and it will be loaded with bacteria.
Ask yourself if a batch of cookie dough is worth risking your health, and the health of any friends or family members that would be eating the cookies.
