Sounds yummy!

I don't see why they wouldn't if they like kidney and liver.
I hate liver and I'm British, but I do like steak and kidney pie. What made you think of kidney and liver? It's not exactly classic British cuisine, is it?

eww.

Never had it, would probably try it, but you shouldn't try to sell it.

Only with a gun pointed at us. 8^)

Screw you southern people...stick to your beans and cornbread. lol

you must be a Brit! But yes of course we do! my grandma was famous in family circles for her liver and onions, and I make a decent ****** (a welsh liver dish for those not familar).

Yes, its a good source of iron.

No, pretty much we don't eat entrails (guts). Even our poorest citizens have enough money to buy real meat.

I'm British - I love liver and gravy but kidneys are the Devil's.. er.. kidneys.. they're ferking disgusting. If you're going to eat offal then eat liver, as much as it is an acquired taste, kidney is worse and heart is even worse than kidney. You might as well eat cat poo.

And we all know how disgusting cat poo tastes, right kids?!

No.

hell yea chicken livers go, and will forever go

Isn't it amazing how 1 word took your question from a culinary search to a dissection of people...The slang "yank" as an adjective of a person is either from across the big pond into the america's or north of the mason dixon line...once used the culinary point of your question is moot...I'm sure you love your...what is it sheeps kidney and liver in gravy...there was just another way of asking if others would enjoy it...as you can see by the answers...when you draw a line between people...using a slang to describe a sector...it promotes uneasiness.

Jeffery Dahmer did.............

Organ meat tends to be a regional and ethnic preference here. I was raised trying many types of organ meats. I don't eat them so much these days because they are probably the least healthy (lean) meats to come off an animal. I've had beef tail, tongue, liver, kidney, heart (love it!); rockey mountain oysters (if you don't know.. don't ask); veal sweatbreads, kidney, liver and brains; lamb tongue, kidney and heart (they are sooo tiny); pork liver, braunschweiger, blood sausages, stuffed pig stomach and sausages made with natural casings.. which are cleaned small intestines, and head cheese and scrapple which.. you just don't want to know what goes in those. And I love giblet gravy.

Don't worry. They don't go to waste. They are used to make many meat by-products which go into things like canned corned beef, sausage, pet food, commercial feeds, zoo animal kibble, fertilizers, etc.

Dang it.. it happens every time. Now I'm jonesing for scrapple and ox tail soup... but not together.

Footnote: If you love organ meat and are having trouble getting it from your local supermarket, try area farmer's markets. You may have to order it in advance (a week or two) but I've always been able to get what I want. For a list of Farmer's Markets across America (not 100% complete or correct) try:

It is very hard to get over here, mainly because most Americans I know don't like it. ( I am a Brit living in the States). I have been trying to get my local supermarket to get some kidney in as I love steak and kindney pie, but they wont do it just for me.

No way
