Bread Pudding

6 slices day-old bread
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
3/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Break bread into small pieces into an 8 inch square baking pan. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over bread. If desired, sprinkle with raisins.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Pour over bread, and lightly push down with a fork until bread is covered and soaking up the egg mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top springs back when lightly tapped.

BRUNCH CASSEROLE

6-8 slices white bread, cut into cubes
4 lg. 4 lg. eggs
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
2 c. milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Any of following: 1 lb. bulk sausage or 1 lb. bacon (crumbled) or leftover ham or pork (2 c.)

Fry, drain bacon, sausage or cube ham. Grease casserole or baking dish. Put bread on bottom. Beat eggs; mix milk, soup, cheese and meat. Pour over bread. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Bread crumbs... Toast bread and crumble. Save in air tight jar.

Loss bread/ Freanch toast...2 eggs beat, milk, cinnimon and or apple pie spice, Vanilla, Butter.
Dip bread in wet mixture place in buttered hot pan. Add syrup or fruit or powdered sugar.

The Best Bread Pudding

2 eggs
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons vanilla
2 1/2 cups milk
2 cups sugar
3 1/2 to 5 cups sourdough bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/3 cup pecans, chopped finely

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Beat together eggs, butter, vanilla, and milk. Add sugar and mix until sugar is dissoved. Arrange bread cubes tightly in a nine-inch baking dish, keeping the crust facing up around the edges in scattered within the dish. Pour liquid over the bread. Sprinkle pecans all over and bake for 55 to 70 minutes, or until crust is golden brown all over the top.

While the bread pudding is baking, make the Whiskey Cream Sauce:

1/2 cup sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 cup cream
1/4 cup Jack Daniels

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Stir constantly over low heat until mixture reaches a low boil. Pour a small amount over the individual servings of bread pudding.

1 round loaf of walnut
1 pound bitter chocolate
Sweet butter, to coat the bread

Chocolate and Walnut Bread Panini Slice the walnut bread thin into 8 slices. Heat a large nonstick skillet or a griddle over moderate heat. Butter 1 side of each bread slice, then put 4 slices, buttered side down, on a work surface. Cut chocolate into chunks, thin enough to fit in a sandwich. Place on the bread, cover with another slice of walnut bread and butter the side facing up. Grill on both sides, about 3 to 5 minutes each. Serve warm.

2 slices bacon
1 large onion, diced
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves, plus 4 more sprigs for garnish
1 (12-ounce) bottle pilsner beer
1 quart chicken stock
3 slices rye bread, torn
Salt and white pepper
1 cup grated white Cheddar (about 4 ounces)


Fry bacon until crisp, remove and reserve. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, sweat the onion, butter, and thyme leaves until tender, about 8 minutes. Add beer, stock, and bread. Simmer 10 minutes. Puree with an immersion blender. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with cheese, bacon and fresh thyme sprigs.

If you are looking for something quick and sweet toast a slice of bread in the oven spread butter on it and sprinkle with a Cinnamon sugar mix. Put back in oven so butter and sugar mixture sort of melts.Yummy
Another sweet idea is to toast the bread on the oven like above but instead of Cinnamon sugar use confectioners sugar.
Flatten out a piece of bread.Toast and put spaghetti sauce and cheese on it.Sort of like a pizza.
Toast bread in the oven and add ham and cheese heat until cheese melts.

French toast

3 slices bread
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk.
cooking oil

Heat your pan or griddle to about 375 degrees. Add oil. Beat eggs, and mix in the milk. Immerse the bread in the egg mixture and let it soak it up. Fry the bread in the hot pan until slightly brown. After you flip it, it will puff up a bit while the second side is cooking.

Serve with real maple syrup, slightly warm.
