Who here has a great recipie for hot, hot, chilli?!
Good basic chili starts with good ground meat. I prefer beef, but some use turkey. saute the meat over medium heat until it looses its red color. Set aside. Saute one large onion peeled and chopped. Then put the meat back in the pan. Assuming one pound of meat add 1 Tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 Tablespoon of Chili powder and 1 Tablespoon of Paprika. Sprinkle in some dried oregano . Add a 1/2 cup of water and let simmer until the water evaporates. Add a can of diced tomatoes and a can of drained rinsed beans.(kidney, beans or pinto beans whatever you like) Now if you must add some cayenne pepper. 1/4 teaspoon should pretty much burn any one who comes too close. there are lots of chili recipes which take hours to prepare and which are very complicated, but we like this one.
Answers: hot hot chili depends on how much hot peppers are added. To really scorch your mouth liberally lace your chili with cayenne that should do it. I do not make my chili hot I let people add their own heat at the table. It is easy to ruin food with too much heat.

add habenaro peppers
I use chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. It comes in a little can. I usually just use the sauce, but you could mince up the peppers and add them too. Its a smoky, hot flavor.
