Stirring soup?!

Question: Does stirring soup make it faster or longer to boil??

Answers: Does stirring soup make it faster or longer to boil??

all stirring soup is for is to heat it evenly and to keep it from sticking to the bottom of the pan (scorching)

No it doesn't stirring it will make it heat more evenly and prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot. I use an egg turner to stir my homemade soups

stirring is irrelavent......it neither speeds up nor slows down the process...but it may help the soup from sticking

Stiring has nothing to do with cooking any faster. It keeps the soup moving so theres less chance of it scorching to the botton and ruining the soup. Which belive me has happened to us all at one time or another. The best way to stir is for me with a wire whisk it picks up the straggers lingering on the bottom and makes everything turn out perfect.

no
