just drink and shut up and like it

no, actually the vinigar is quite cleansing for your kidneys. :)

Use pickle juice to season hot potatoes for potato salad. It's sooooo much better than vinegar, and if it's from dill pickles, you get the dill flavor too. Also good in deviled eggs or egg sandwich mix.
Old trick of my mom's.

I don't think drinking the juice can harm you- it's just water, salt, pickling spices, and vinegar. I don't think it tastes very good though!

My husband uses pickle juice to make pickled eggs (not my thing either!) He puts hard boiled eggs and raw onions in the jar of juice. He loves it....

no! I used it to help cure my acid reflux .

It can't harm you!
I regularly eat pickle juice when its part of my family's secret Potato Salad recipe.

It's no harm at all...try subbing it for vinegar for recipes that call for it.

You can make more pickles.

Get radishes, onions, celery - almost any crispy vegetable. Wash it, cut it, and rub it with lots of salt. This dehydrates the vegetables so they'll be crispy. Then wash off the salt, and put the vegetables in the pickle juice, and return to the refrigerator. Ready in a few days!

It won't harm you. Pickle juice is mostly vinegar, sugar and water. You can use it to flavor onions, beets, other raw veggies. Use it instead of vinegar in salad dressings. Hard boiled pickled eggs are always good also.

hey here are a few ideas on using your leftover pickle juice!!

Dill pickle Soup:
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup white wine
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
5 cups water
1 1/2 cups dill pickle juice
2 teaspoons dried dill weed, crushed
1/2 cup heavy cream, whipping cream or milk
Salt and white pepper to taste
1 large dill pickle, cut julienne

In a large soup pot over medium heat, melt butter. Add onion and sauté until soft. Add white wine and continue cooking until almost all liquid evaporates. Reduce heat to low and stir in flour (do not brown). Add water and pickle juice, whisking or stirring into onion mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until soup slightly thickens. Add dill weed.

Stir in whipping cream or milk; season with salt and white pepper to taste. Remove from heat. Serve in individual soup bowls and garnish with julienne dill pickle.

You can also use pickle juice in:

1. pickle juice is great in salads (such as potato salad) or in vinegrettes
2. I add pickle juice to braised short ribs or pot roast; gives a good deep taste to the gravy.
3. I used to cook brisket with a large addition of dill pickle juice. Just save the juice from two to three jars. Add enough water to cover the brisket and simmer 'til tender as baby's bottom. Like corned beef when you are finished.
4. you can use kosher dill juice in cole slaw

Baked Pork chops with pickle juice:
pork chops, 1 per person
salt and pepper to taste
onion, 1 - 2 slices per chop
ketchup, 1 Tbs per chop
pickle juice, 1/2 cup per 4 chops

Put the chops in a baking dish that has a cover (or use aluminum foil to cover later) and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place some onion slices on each chop, then squirt a bit of ketchup over each, then pour the pickle juice in. The recipe calls for sweet pickle juice. I'm using the juice from some bread and butter pickles. Then cover and bake for an hour at 350.

It's okay to drink pickle juice just not an excess amount!!
